ENOUGH DAILY (2)
September 6, 2026ENOUGH DAILY
Matthew 6:11
Pastor David Barnes
The Lord’s Prayer:
The first three requests are centered on God:
- Your Name be honored.
- Your Kingdom come.
- Your Will be done.
The last three requests are centered on us:
- Give us our daily bread.
- Forgive us our debts.
- Lead us not into temptation.
God Cares About Your Daily Needs
Bread represents everything necessary for life!
Why “daily” bread?
Because God wants us to live in continual dependence upon Him!
God gives us enough light for the next step—not the next ten years.
God is Concerned with Every Aspect of Life
- Provision “Give us daily bread…”
- Pardon “Forgive us our debts…”
- Protection “Lead us not into temptation…”
Daily Dependence Produces Daily Faith
Jesus taught us to pray, “Give us this day…”
Our greatest struggle: Wanting tomorrow’s answers today.
