I Am the True Vine

How do we abide in Christ:

1. Depend on His Power.

“I Am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”   John 15:5

“I Am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.” John 15:1

2. Submit to His Pruning.
   

“Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.”      John 15:2

God prunes us back so that
He can grow us up!

3. Obey His Commands.
   

“If you keep My commands, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commands and abide in His love.”   John 15:10

“Blessed are those who fear the Lord and delight in obeying His commands.”  Psalm 112:1

“In fact, this is love for God: to keep His commands. And His commands are not burdensome.”    I John 5:3

Abiding in Jesus brings joy
to our lives!!!
