  1. Finding God’s Path.

Proverbs 4:3 (NKJV) When I was my father’s son, Tender and the only one in the sight of my mother,

Proverbs 4:4-5 (NKJV) – He also taught me, and said to me: “Let your heart retain my words; Keep my commands, and live. Get wisdom! Get understanding! Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth.

Proverbs 4:7 (NKJV) Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.

Deuteronomy 6:6-9 (NKJV) – “And these words (Scripture) which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.  You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

  1. Choosing God’s Path.

Proverbs 4:18-19 (NKJV) – But the path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.  The way of the wicked is like darkness; they do not know what makes them stumble.

Proverbs 4:14-15 (NKJV) – Do not enter the path of the wicked, And do not walk in the way of evil.  Avoid it, do not travel on it; Turn away from it and pass on.

Matthew 7:13 (NKJV) – “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.

Proverbs 4:18 – But the path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.

Matthew 7:14 (NKJV) Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

Proverbs 4:10-12 (NKJV) – Hear, my son, and receive my sayings, and the years of your life will be many. I have taught you in the way of wisdom; I have led you in right paths.  When you walk, your steps will not be hindered, And when you run, you will not stumble.

III. Following God’s Path.

Proverbs 4:23-25 (NKJV) – Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life. Put away from you a deceitful mouth, and put perverse lips far from you. Let your eyes look straight ahead, and your eyelids look right before you.

Hebrews 12:2 – “Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.”
