Exodus 20:1-7

1. Command #1 – Have no other . 1-3

 “You shall have no other gods before me.” Vs. 3

2. Command #2 – Have no .  VS 4-6

 “You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.” Vs. 4

“Idolatry isn’t just one of many sins, rather it’s the one great sin that all others come from.  So if you start scratching at whatever struggle you’re dealing with, eventually you’ll find that underneath it is a false god.  Until that god is dethroned, and the Lord God takes his rightful place you will not have victory.”

3. Command #3 – Honor God’s . vs. 7

 “You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain. Vs. 7
