Main Bible Text: Romans 1:20

The “invisible” God who loves you wants to know you

How does this “invisible” God make Himself known?

1. Through His creation
2. By His Son
3. Through His people

Romans 1:20

“For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:”

The “invisible things” – that which cannot be perceived by the senses

How does this “invisible” God make Himself known?

THROUGH HIS CREATION

With God, you can’t use your senses to experience God – but we can still know Him – because He is clearly seen through His creation

Colossians 1:15-16 

15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

The being and the perfection of God are accurately and fully represented by Christ

We see God because …. JESUS IS GOD.

Colossians 1:15 – firstborn – first in importance, first in rank

Jesus is above all that is created; the most exalted rank in the universe

Read John 1:1 – The Word – which is Jesus

How do you get to know Jesus Christ? You have it in your hand: it’s through the Bible!

THROUGH HIS PEOPLE

 The greatest message that ever could be preached .. is your personal testimony

Read 1 John 4:10-12

How is this world going to see God? It’s by expressions of love to one another.

The God who lives in you want to love through you.

At the heart of missions is: taking the love of God to a lost world.
