John 20:26-29, John 4:19-26, Hebrews 10:19-25

Worship is to ascribe the proper worth to God, to magnify His worthiness of praise. 

Worship is: 

1. Focusing on and responding to God

          John 20:26-29

          We know he reveals himself to us today: 

          a. Through Creation = Romans 1:20

          b. Through His Word = 2 Peter 1:20-21

2. Done in Spirit and Truth: 

      John 4:19-26

      1 Corinthians 12:1-3

      Philippians 3:1-3

       Mark 12:30

           a. Worship in truth must include teaching God’s word = Acts 20:7

           b. Worship in truth includes giving = 1 Corinthians 16:2

           c. Worship in truth must include prayer = Acts 2:42

           d. Worship in truth must include singing = Ephesians 5:19

3. Expected Both Publicly and Privately

      Hebrews 10:19-25

      Mark 1:35
