Pray for Unity
Pastor Blake Hanson | 1.28.24

Pray for .

Romans 15:5–7 (NIV)

5 May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had,

6 so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

7 Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.

John 17:20–21 (NIV)

20 “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message,

21 that all of them may be one…

John 17:23 (NIV)

23 so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

The CHURCH has one common .

REASONS WE PRAY FOR UNITY…

1. We need each

Romans 12:5–6 (NIV)

5 so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.

6 We have different gifts…

2. The world will see God’s

Romans 15:7 (NIV)

7 Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.

John 13:34–35 (NIV)

34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.

35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

3. We can do infinitely more .

Acts 4:32 (NIV)

32 All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had.

Acts 4:33–34 (NIV)

33 With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all

34 that there were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales
