Christmas Eve Service
Pastor Blake Hanson | 12.24.23

Christmas brings that results in great joy.

“How do we experience the Joy of Christmas?”

Luke 2:6–7 (NLT)

6 And while they were there, the time came for her baby to be born.

7 She gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped him snugly in strips of cloth and laid him in a manger, because there was no lodging available for them.

John 3:16 (NLT)

16“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

Celebrate God’s .

Romans 9:25–26 (NLT)

25 Concerning the Gentiles, God says in the prophecy of Hosea, “Those who were not my people, I will now call my people. And I will love those whom I did not love before.”

26 And, “Then, at the place where they were told, ‘You are not my people,’ there they will be called ‘children of the living God.’”

Romans 9:25–26 (MSG)

25Hosea put it well: I’ll call nobodies and make them somebodies; I’ll call the unloved and make them beloved.

26In the place where they yelled out, “You’re nobody!” they’re calling you “God’s living children.”

God’s Joy.

 Luke 2:8–11 (NLT)

8 That night there were shepherds staying in the fields nearby, guarding their flocks of sheep.

9Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord’s glory surrounded them. They were terrified,

10 but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people.

11 The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David!
