Praise Through It All

Praise Through It All
Pastor Brian Gosselin | 11.29.23

Psalm 100:1-5 (NLT) Shout with joy to the LORD, all the earth! Worship the LORD with gladness. Come before him, singing with joy. Acknowledge that the LORD is God! He made us, and we are his. We are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation.

Praise the problems.

Psalm 100:1-2 (NLT) Shout with joy to the LORD, all the earth! Worship the LORD with gladness. Come before him, singing with joy.

John 4:23-24 (NLT) But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way. For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.”

Praise in Spirit and Truth

Praise is focused not focused.

Psalm 100:3 (NLT) Acknowledge that the LORD is God! He made us, and we are his. We are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

We praise God because of who He is.

Praise reminds us God is

Psalm 100:4 (NLT) Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name.

God is already here.

Matthew 18:20 (NLT) 20 For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.”

Psalm 100:5 (NLT) For the LORD is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation.

God can give us victory from our praise because he is good, loving, and faithful.

Acts 16:25-26 (NLT) Around midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening. Suddenly, there was a massive earthquake, and the prison was shaken to its foundations. All the doors immediately flew open, and the chains of every prisoner fell off!

2 Chronicles 20:17 (NLT) But you will not even need to fight. Take your positions; then stand still and watch the LORD’s victory. He is with you, O people of Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid or discouraged. Go out against them tomorrow, for the LORD is with you!”

2 Chronicles 20:21-22 (NLT) After consulting the people, the king appointed singers to walk ahead of the army, singing to the LORD and praising him for his holy splendor. This is what they sang: “Give thanks to the LORD; his faithful love endures forever!” At the very moment they began to sing and give praise, the LORD caused the armies of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir to start fighting among themselves.
