I’ve Got the Power
February 18, 2024Jump to What’s Happening at Crossroads
8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere — in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. (Acts 1:8)
By the Power of the Holy Spirit:
1. We find in our weakness.
26 And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. (Romans 8:26)
8 Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. 9 Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. 10 That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong. (2 Corinthians 12:8-10)
2. We are filled with .
13 I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13)
3. We live with .
8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers and elders of our people, 9 are we being questioned today because we’ve done a good deed for a crippled man? Do you want to know how he was healed? 10 Let me clearly state to all of you and to all the people of Israel that he was healed by the powerful name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, the man you crucified but whom God raised from the dead. 11 For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says, The stone that you builders rejected has now become the cornerstone. 12 There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.” 13 The members of the council were amazed when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, for they could see that they were ordinary men with no special training in the Scriptures. They also recognized them as men who had been with Jesus. (Acts 4:8-13)
4. We are not consumers.
3 I came to you in weakness — timid and trembling. 4 And my message and my preaching were very plain. Rather than using clever and persuasive speeches, I relied only on the power of the Holy Spirit. 5 I did this so you would trust not in human wisdom but in the power of God. (1 Corinthians 2:3-5)
The Holy Spirit doesn’t make me better you.
The Holy Spirit makes me better you.

You can give any amount anytime at www.ecrossroads.org/give (click “Give via Pushpay”) and select “Meijer Simply Give” or by placing cash/check in the offering boxes. Your gift prior to March 2nd will be matched by Meijer up to $5000. Thank you!
PRAYER ROOM IS ALWAYS OPEN
God calls us to pray about everything, but sometimes, it’s difficult to find the words on our own. Today, we will be offering prayer at the end of our gatherings. Did you know that our prayer teams are ready to help you bring anything to the Lord every week? You can come to the prayer room at the back of the auditorium after each gathering and we will pray with you and for you.
