¹⁵ 15 So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. ¹⁶ Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. ¹⁷ 17 Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do. ¹⁸ Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit… (Ephesians 5:15-18)

Living within the Barricades:

1. Know I need Barricades.

⁴¹ Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak!(Matthew 26:41)

¹² If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to fall. ¹³ The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. (1 Corinthians 10:12-13)

2. the Barricades.

¹⁸ Run from sexual sin! No other sin so clearly affects the body as this one does. For sexual immorality is a sin against your own body. ¹⁹ Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, ²⁰ for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.(1 Corinthians 6:18-20)

3. the barricades.

¹⁵ Fools think their own way is right, but the wise listen to others. (Proverbs 12:15)

¹⁶ Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. (James 5:16)

JOIN A WINTER GROUP

We will be launching a round of small groups starting this week. We will be having open short-term groups, but we’ll also be having care groups and other ongoing groups open to join

VISION SUNDAY & WORSHIP NIGHT

We are looking forward to Vision Sunday on January 28th. During our morning gatherings, you’ll get to hear about our recap of 2023 as well as what’s ahead for you and the church. Sunday night we’re going to celebrate all that God’s done in 2023 and our prayer and fasting time by having a Worship Night at 7 p.m. at our South campus. Come ready to worship the Lord. We believe there’s great value in our kids watching how we worship so we encourage you to bring your kids as there will not be childcare offered.

EMPOWERED CONFERENCE

We have a great opportunity for students sixth through twelfth grade and the significant female in their lives to connect. This female influencer can be moms, grandmothers, aunts, or stepmoms. Empowered: Connecting Mothers and Daughters will be hosted by nine12 and ignite on February 24th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at South campus. Cost is $30 for a mom/daughter ticket and an additional $10 for a family ticket. Registration will close on February 12th. For more information and sign up.

STUDENT REGISTRATIONS

We have two events coming up for students:

• Winter Retreat (8th-12th graders) — Friday, February 9th to Sunday, February 11th at Shiloh Park in Marion
• SuperStart (4th-6th graders) — March 1st to 2nd (early registration closes January 24th) at Trader’s Point in Whitestown
