Making Disciples
October 22, 2023Jump to What’s Happening at Crossroads
“Come, follow Me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.” (Matthew 4:19 BSB)
: the intentional journey to know, trust, and follow Jesus more deeply to become more like Him and to help others do the same.
3 Discipling Questions:
1. Who is my ?
Who has made a significant impact in my faith?
10 But you, Timothy, certainly know what I teach, and how I live, and what my purpose in life is. You know my faith, my patience, my love, and my endurance. 11 You know how much persecution and suffering I have endured. You know all about how I was persecuted in Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra—but the Lord rescued me from all of it. (2 Timothy 3:10-11)
11 Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. 12 Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. (Ephesians 4:11-12)

2. Who is my ?
Disciple Making: Entering into relationships to help people know, trust and follow Jesus more deeply as they become more like him.
We become more like Jesus .
3. Who is my ?
7 In the same way, there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God than over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven’t strayed away! (Luke 15:7)
19 Even though I am a free man with no master, I have become a slave to all people to bring many to Christ. 20 When I was with the Jews, I lived like a Jew to bring the Jews to Christ. When I was with those who follow the Jewish law, I too lived under that law. Even though I am not subject to the law, I did this so I could bring to Christ those who are under the law. 21 When I am with the Gentiles who do not follow the Jewish law, I too live apart from that law so I can bring them to Christ. But I do not ignore the law of God; I obey the law of Christ. 22 When I am with those who are weak, I share their weakness, for I want to bring the weak to Christ. Yes, I try to find common ground with everyone, doing everything I can to save some. (1 Corinthians 9:19-22)
