The upside down life of Jesus is .

1 Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, 2 and he began to teach them. 3 Blessed are the poor in spirit because theirs is the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 5:1-3 NIV)

The Upside Down Life of Jesus relies on God’s over our own .

4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. 5 Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. 6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. 7 Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. (Matthew 5:4-7 NIV)

The Upside Down Life of Jesus values over .

8 Blessed are the pure in heart for they will see God. 9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. 10 Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. (Matthew 5:8-12 NIV)

The Upside Down Life of Jesus is not , but it is it.

13 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. 14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:13-16 NIV)

What’s Happening at Crossroads

NEW HERE?

We’re so glad you’ve chosen to come to Crossroads today! We want to thank you for visiting and would love to get to know you. Stop by and say hello at one of our Welcome Centers, our First Step area, or check out ecrossroads.info for more. We can’t wait to meet you!

WE ARE BLESSED TO BLESS

Your giving matters. A Crossroads core value is “We are blessed to bless.” Thanks to your generosity, 38 local seniors will now be able to walk through their commencement ceremonies with graduation caps/gowns that are fully paid for. There are several convenient ways you can give. You can join the mission through any of the following avenues:
– visit ecrossroads.org/give,
– text give2ccc to (833) 274-0845 for a secure giving link,
– access giving through the Crossroads app,
– or you can give checks or cash in one of the giving boxes near the auditorium entrances.

FOSTER CARE COMMUNITIES MEETING

Crossroads is committed to coming alongside foster families to support and help them make a difference in the lives of vulnerable kids. Please continue bringing in your Journey Bags. We are hosting a Care Communities Interest Meeting on June 5th at 6:30 at our South campus (room 205). A care community will come alongside foster and adoptive families to provide practical, emotional, and spiritual support. If you’re interested, email Kalee Barnes at [email protected].

SUMMER SMALL GROUPS

One of our core values is “We become more like Jesus together.” Groups are a way for that to happen. We have a prayer group that’s starting. Plus, we have two women’s groups that folks can jump in at any time. Sign up for a group or get more information.
