Outlook for 2023

Disciple: A believer who actively follows Jesus and his teachings in the pursuit of living like Him and helping others know him.

Crossroads Mission: To meet people where they are and help them take their next step with Christ.

1. God loves you just the way you are, but He loves you too much to leave you that way.

⁸ And yet, O Lord, you are our Father. We are the clay, and you are the potter. We all are formed by your hand. (Isaiah 64:8)

2. The first thing I need to change is my attitude.

² Then the Lord asked him, “What is that in your hand?” “A shepherd’s staff,” Moses replied. ³ 3 “Throw it down on the ground,” the Lord told him. So Moses threw down the staff, and it turned into a snake! Moses jumped back. ⁴ 4 Then the Lord told him, “Reach out and grab its tail.” So Moses reached out and grabbed it, and it turned back into a shepherd’s staff in his hand. (Exodus 4:2-4)

3. Don’t underestimate the power of a small step.

¹ Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. ² We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. (Hebrews 12:1-2)
