Death and life are in the power of the tongue. (Proverbs 18:21)

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)

Some people make cutting remarks, but the words of the wise bring healing. (Proverbs 12:18)

Kind words are like honey — sweet to the soul and healthy for the body. (Proverbs 16:24)

1. If you don’t have anything kind to say, .

11 So encourage each other and build each other up (1 Thessalonians 5:11)

2. I say matters.

33 “A tree is identified by its fruit. If a tree is good, its fruit will be good. If a tree is bad, its fruit will be bad. >34 You brood of snakes! How could evil men like you speak what is good and right? For whatever is in your heart determines what you say. (Matthew 12:33-34)

28 If you are a thief, quit stealing. Instead, use your hands for good hard work, and then give generously to others in need. 29 Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them. (Ephesians 4:28-29)

Is it ?

Is it ?

Is it ?

3. I say it matters.

14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:14)

16 For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. 17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. (John 1:16-17)
