Table Talk Questions
- Are we living in the “last days”? Was Paul? How can it be said that since Jesus ascended into heaven, all believers have been living in the last days? How has “pop dispensationalism” done a disservice to the proper understanding of dispensationalism?
- How have we turned “loving self” into a virtue? How is this “love of self” revealed in the LGBT agenda? How is it revealed in the church? How is it revealed in counseling? How is it revealed in your life? How does “love of self” lead to all of the other characteristics of the last days? (vv. 2-4)
- How do people use “religion” to make themselves comfortable? When people in the church deny the power of the Gospel, how does that change the mission of the church? Why does Paul say that we should avoid such people? (v. 5)
- In what ways were people pressuring believers in Paul’s day to compromise the true Gospel? (vv. 6-9) Who were Jannes and Jambres? Why must we always be vigilant to preserve the truth of the Gospel? Why are we guaranteed ultimate victory? (v. 9)
