Theme of Daniel 2:  God has a SOVEREIGN PLAN for human history.

How should Christians behave when faced with government persecution?

  1. Be completely UNIMITADED by human authorities.
  2. Be completely CONFIDENT in God’s power regardless of the danger.
  3. Be completely SUBMISSIVE to God’s will regardless of His choice.
  4. Be completely COMMITTED to God regardless of the consequences.

God Is Sovereign over today’s circumstances and tomorrow’s.

  1. God has COMPLETE POWER over governments, including government persecution. Daniel 3:19-23. 
  2. Satan hates God, and he hates GOD’S PEOPLE.
  3. The good news is: GOD IS GREATER. Daniel 3:24-25

  4. God uses governmental persecution to accomplish & purposes and to achieve His ends.

    1. God used the events of Daniel 3 for the and of His people when they later arrived in Babylon.

    2. God was at work using even government persecution to accomplish His purposes for His people.

    3. When persecution comes from our government in our lifetime, it will NOT be out of , but rather a perfect to accomplish His own strategic and eternal purposes?  Daniel 2:20-23

How to be Un-Singed by the troubles and persecutions that are coming your way.

  1. Be certain of your . Acts 4:12

  2. Establish ongoing Christian in your life. Hebrews 5:12, 1 Corinthians 3:1-3

  3. Discern your weaknesses. Spiritual is either opportunity to grow or .
    2 Corinthians 12:9, James 1:2-4, 1 Corinthians 10:13

  4. Don’t rely on yesterday’s enlightenment.
    1 Corinthians 14:20, Ephesians 4:12-16

  5. Resist the devil. Stand firm in your faith. God’s . 1 Peter5:8-11
