                                           Resurrection Impact:  A Calling

                                                     John 21:1-14

Another resurrection impact for our lives –  a from God

  1.  Some of the disciples decided to

    “I’m going out to fish,” Simon Peter told them, and they said, “We’ll go with you.” So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing. John 21:3 (NIV) 

               During upside down times we often retreat into our

  1.  Jesus called them to their nets again

  “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.”       John 21:6a (NIV) 

               Jesus often calls us out of our

  1.  The disciples what Jesus told them to do

  When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.   John 21:6b  (NIV) 

               Blessings always follow

  1.  Jesus cooked for the disciples

    Jesus said to them, “Come and have breakfast.”  John 21:12a  (NIV) 

                Jesus called his disciples to remember their

“‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38  This is the first and greatest commandment. 39  And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ Matthew 22:37-39 (NIV)

 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20  and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV)
