Matthew 5:9 – “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.”

Jesus is the of our souls.

The Sin Problem… (Gen. 3; Rom. 5:12)

The Cross Solution… (Rom. 5:8; Jn. 19:30; Rom. 5:1)

The Significance… (Rom. 6:10; Jn. 14:27)

Big Question: Now that we have “peace” with Jesus, what must we do with it?”

for peacemaking

Seek peace before worship/offering (Matt. 5:23-24)

Bring along a friend  (Matt. 18:15-16)

Forgive so God can move (Matt. 6:12, 14-15)

Big Takeaway: Forgiveness is necessary for peace

Peacemaking

Forgive yourself for your past (Col. 3:8-10, 12-15; Rom. 8:1)

Reflection that leads to action (James. 1:22)

Big Action: Go and seek to make peace

Peace to

 Lead the process (Heb. 12:14)

Forgive even if the other party isn’t willing to (Rom. 12:18)

If you’re rejected don’t retaliate  (Rom. 12:19-21; Ex. 14.14)

Big Reminder: “Giving blesses you, Forgiveness does too!”
