Does the church today where we’ve been?
Matthew 7:20-21 NLT
Matthew 28:19 NLT
The fear is that we, as modern American Christians, have turned the church into a place to consume content instead of a place to multiply disciples.
Matthew 5:13 NLT
Matthew 5:14 NLT
Matthew 5:16 NLT
Matthew 16:13 NLT
Matthew 16:16 NLT
Matthew 16:18 NLT
When our church is faithful to Jesus, it is unstoppable and the powers of hell can’t contain it.
The church will leave the greatest mark when our aim is and our attitude is .
John 13:35 NLT
Matthew 5:43-44 NLT
1 Corinthians 12:27 NLT
If our church is one day gone, will anyone notice? When you leave your school, neighborhood, or job will anyone notice?
The church will never because Jesus didn’t stay !
Will you leave a mark this week and invite someone to Easter at Central?
Discussion Questions:
- The sermon compared a church’s impact to the aftermath of a tornado—something noticeable. What evidence do you see that our church is leaving a mark in our community?
- Jesus calls us to “go and make disciples” (Matt 28:19). How are you personally doing with this?
- We’re told to love each other inside the church, those around us, and even those against us. Which of these feels hardest for you, and why?
- 1 Corinthians 12:27 says we are Christ’s body. How can we work together as a church to be Jesus to the people around us?
- If our church—or you personally—were gone one day, would anyone notice? What’s one step you could take to make sure your faith leaves a mark?
- The sermon ends with a challenge to invite someone to Easter services. Who is one person you could invite, and how might you approach them?
