Discussion Questions:
- In verse 14, Deborah reminded Barak that the Lord was marching ahead of him. Describe a time when you feel that God went ahead of you to prepare the way for a victory.
- God allowed Barak to kill all of Sisera’s warriors, but not Sisera himself. Why do you think God temporarily spared Sisera’s life?
- Sisera asked Jael for water, but Jael gave him milk instead. Why do you think this detail is significant?
- Jael’s murder of Sisera fulfilled Deborah’s prophesy to Barak (verse 9). Why do you think God specifically used a woman to kill Sisera?
