The tagline for these toys that changed into robots was “more than meets the eye.” When it comes to current events, world history, future prophecy, and even day to day spiritual issues, there really is more than meets the eye. There is an unseen war. The Bible says in Ephesians 6:12 that we “wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Daniel 10 is a wonderful and mysterious chapter which pulls back the curtain and proves that what Ephesians 6:12 tells us is indeed very true. I. The of the Battle (11-14) Daniel has a conversation with an that reveals an unseen war is going on between the forces of good and . Gabriel was on his way with the , but the “prince of the kingdom of Persia” withstood him. This is a very unique chapter and these references to and leaders of nations are not to physical, visible beings. We see in this chapter what happens on the side of prayer. There are territorial angels to various nations or maybe even states and cities. This is very likely the explanation as to why certain countries and cities seem to be so spiritually and so dominated by an to God and Jesus Christ. II. The of Prayer (1-10) (1) Angels and demons exist. (2) Angels and demons engage one another in spiritual . (3) Certain demons and angels are given geographical and governmental assignments. (4) Our prayers affect the battle being fought. There needs to be a younger generation rise up and the cause of Christ forward with passion, but we need those who are older to and ! Our prayers provide spiritual for the battles that take place in the heavenly realm. One thing we have to admire about Daniel is that he is one guy. 21 days here he is praying and and he is 85 and still doing it. I wonder how many times we faint and in prayer because all we are thinking about is the world we can see. Prayer is our strongest and most important . III. The of the Word (15-21) Even spiritual giants like Daniel can be overcome and . So what was it that refreshed Daniel? Look at verse 19. It was the of God. The only weapon that can equip you in this satanic war is the written Word of God. The Word of God is a weapon, but the first activity mentioned once we have put on the armor of God is (Eph. 6:18). Prayer is communing and communicating with God. It’s a chance for my heart to connect with the heart of God. Prayer is about a and a .
