We are caught up in the part about the flames and the fourth man in the fire and the fact that not only did they survive, but their hair wasn’t even singed and their clothes didn’t even smell like smoke. But what got them thrown in the furnace is a big deal. Regardless of the time period or political landscape or cultural degradation, God is still looking for faithful people who will stand out and stand up as a witness for Him. Edmund Burke said, “The only thing needed for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” Thank God back in Daniel’s day, during the Babylonian captivity, three young godly men did something and stood for something. They courageously stood up while the rest of the world bowed down. Their faith is amazing. Their confidence in God is stellar. I. The is Designed.
