We have seen already from Daniel and his three friends that we must:
I. Be prepared for the challenges that non-Christian cultures will throw at us to lead us away from God. (1-7)
They will try to isolate, indoctrinate, assimilate, and re-identity us and we must be prepared. Secondly, we discovered that we must
II. Be determined in our heart that we will not compromise our convictions and commitments to God. (8-13)
We do this by resisting temptation, winning authority’s favor, and offering solutions that are win-win. Resolving to follow Christ means that you do not allow culture to rewrite your character, that you choose to follow God without any guarantees of prosperity, and that you refuse to make the multitude your model and follow the crowd.
Be prepared, be determined, and here’s the final point of emphasis in this crucial chapter: be faithful.
III. Be faithful to God no matter what and Him to honor your to Him. (14-21)
