Calvary Baptist Church Red Bank Focus on Prayer Archived – January 29, 2023 View This Week’s Note View All Past Notes View This Note w/o Blanks Main Scripture Reference(s) Philippians 1:9-11 Focus on Prayer January 29, 2023 / Greg Powell / Philippians 1:9-11 Paul has already told these dear people how often he thinks of them and how often he prays for them, so what he does next a few verses later is actually pray one of those prayers. It is moving, marvelous, and mature, and it reveals Paul’s desire for godliness in these followers of Jesus Christ. Paul is literally opening his prayer journal and showing them – look, this and this and this is exactly what I’m longing to see happen in your life. Plus, Paul’s desires for them originate in Jesus Christ (verse 8), so it is implied that these are the exact elements that Jesus Christ wants in our life. So take out a pen because I am going to give us 6 simple prayer requests that we can pray for others. I. Pray for their in life. (9a) II. Pray for their in life. (9b) III. Pray for their in life. (9c) IV. Pray for their in life. (10) V. Pray for their in life. (11a) VI. Pray for their in life.
