Even the disciples did not believe the first reports, and Thomas demanded proof. But the news began to spread, and their hesitation turned to enthusiasm. Their lives were completely transformed. How did they change from doubt to delight? One thing happened, Jesus came to them! Jesus showed up in the midst. I. The resurrection makes us . (19-20a) It is sad that they are and still not convinced. Even though they had failed Christ, He still wanted a with them and He held no anger against them. What Jesus is actually saying here is that His work on the has just given them peace with God forever. II. The resurrection makes us . (20b) Jesus used the phrase “be of ” several times.
