2. God the , God the , God the .

3. Each member of the Trinity have the essential qualities of God, meaning each have a .

Divine nature: To be all-knowing, all-powerful, everywhere-present, morally perfect, eternal.

B. UNDERSTANDING JESUS…

1. Jesus a nature to his divine nature.

Incarnation: This refers to Jesus Christ literally and fully taking on the form of humanity.

“For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form…” (Colossians 2:9)

2. Jesus to be God, rather, he the new experience of being truly human to his experience of being God.

“In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.” (Philippians 2:5-7)

“Father, if you are willing, please take this cup of suffering away from me.

Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.” (Luke 22:41)

3. Jesus chose to independently access his qualities while on earth.

“…without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.” (Hebrews 9:22)

Today’s “Big Idea”…

No one but was to pay our moral debt.

No one but was to pay our moral debt.

“For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus…”
