What’s the Problem with This Version of Jesus?

2. The real Jesus…

a. The real Jesus claimed to be the to experience God, the truth, and eternal life.

“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me.’ ” (John 14:6)

b. The real Jesus commanded his followers to this truth to the entire world.

“Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth
has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit…”

(Matthew 28:19)

Today’s Big Idea…

Any Jesus the truth cannot be the Jesus the truth.

  1. What are some key differences you see between Christianity and other religions? 
  2. There’s always a bit of truth in a counterfeit. What is the bit of truth in the Anti-Evangelism Jesus? 
  3. Jesus commanded us to share our faith. What are some ways you do that in your life with gentleness and respect? 
  4. From your experience, what are some ways you’ve seen evangelism done well? What are some ways you’ve seen it done poorly?
  5. Take a few minutes and pray for those in your life who don’t know Christ.
