A. Some Broadway Clarity

1. Clarity regarding the “Why?” of Broadway Church…

a. At Broadway Church, we believe that everyone was created to experience and express .

2. Clarity regarding the “What?” of Broadway Church…

a. At Broadway Church, we exist to people to living.

b. The five stages in the journey towards Christ-centeredness:

i. Christ: This is a person who is not into religion or God, and they are not particularly interested in anything that has to do with God.

ii. Christ: This represents the person who is open to belief about God, but is not sure about the whole “Jesus story.”

iii. Christ: This is the person who has crossed the line of faith.

They believe in Christ, and are working out what that means in their life.

iv. Christ: This person is seeking to be closer to Christ, and they depend upon Him regularly for guidance in their life.

v. Christ: In most everything that this person does, they seek to be a reflection of Jesus Christ.

c. The four key qualities of a Christ-centered life:

i. You like Jesus lived.

ii. You like Jesus loved.

iii. You what Jesus believed.

iv. You what Jesus taught.

3. Clarity regarding how to GROW as a follower of Jesus Christ:

Give of your time, talents, and treasures for the betterment of those around you.

Read, Reflect and Respond to the Word and Spirit of God.

Opportunity to witness to someone about God’s presence and activity in your life.

W: allow others to with you every day.

4. Three possible reasons for resisting the “new W” in the G.R.O.W. Principle:

a. Your resistance may be rooted in the of … (Genesis 2:18; 3:1-5)

Small Group Discussion Questions

  1. Are you an introvert or extrovert? How did you discover this?

  2. There are different ways to “walk with someone”.  What does that look like for you? What is one practical way you can walk with someone this week?

  3. Which G.R.O.W. principle comes easiest for you? Which is hardest for you?

  4. Which possible reason for resisting the new “W” resonates with you? Are there other reasons why someone would resist “walking” with someone?
