There are many responses to spiritual depression, and some might be but not Christian. 

Korah was a leader who died in the wilderness because he led a against Moses. 

The Sons of Korah were and, therefore, dedicated their lives to the of God in the Temple.

Causes of Spiritual Depression

Forced from the Temple (Psalm 42:1-2)

Insults of (Psalm 42:3,10)

Memories of (Psalm 42:4)

The overwhelming of life (Psalm 42:7)

God is not acting  or us (Psalm 42:9)

Attacks from ungodly people (Psalm 43:1)

The Cure for Spiritual Depression 

The Psalmist wrestles through it

The Psalmist challenges himself to do what needs to be done. 

The Psalmist reminds himself of what is certain
