John 17:24-26 – Love as a Mark of the Church

The phrase “one another” is used about times in the New Testament.

Love summarizes all of the i for the church that we have seen in this prayer in John 17.

The Christian’s in Christ (union with Christ) has a great bearing on how we with others.

John 17:23

“…even AS you loved me…” the word “as” here means as or to the same degree.

How does God love those who are HIs? as He loves His Son.

Our love for others is not like this — our love is often characterized by

God shows no

The Lord’s Love for His Children is:

A.  – There are to His love for us

B.  -The Lord’s love for us is without

C. – God’s love for us is never

Not only will we sit and gaze at the glory of Christ, but we will n that Glory (1 John 3:2)

Jesus’ mention of the righteousness of God has to do with how God always will do what is

Jesus prays that the love that the Father has for Jesus and believers “MAY BE THEM.”

If Christ’s love for us is limitless — what does that mean for our with one another?

The fact that Christians on many different things yet are to love and care for one another is a marvelous display of the of the gospel in the of Christians.
