The Beginning of the End – John 11:45-57

The reason for the resurrection of Lazarus was in order that people would in Jesus.

Many of the people that witnessed the of Lazarus in Jesus. 

God has a for everything that He does and He always His purpose!

The Sanhedrin:

a. It was under Control

b. It was a judicial court and a legislative body with the functioning as the chief executive 

c. The authority of the council was said to be 

d. a lof of the people that made of the Sanhedrin were friends and of the high priest

e. There was a great mixture of views represented 

The Problem: Rome would see Jesus’ popularity and messianic claims as a and would, in turn take away the Sanhedrin’s and further the people

There was no that Jesus did many miracles or signs. 

If confronted with the truth in God’s Word, will you change your position? 

The Recommendation from the High Priest: Isn’t it better that one man die for the nation than the whole nation die? 

The Prophecy of Caiaphas: It is better for Jesus to for the people then the whole nation perish.  

The fear was that Rome would not stand for an apparent

The language of the High Priest is in nature. 

Red Letter Bibles: You cannot set God’s word itself!

When the High Priest spoke this, he meant one thing but meant another!

The High Priest may have devised the plan to Jesus, but he was a in the plan of God. 

Both John and Caiaphas believed Jesus’ death to be in two totally different ways!

Anyone in the world who in Jesus will be saved from their sins! 

These spiritual children (sheep) are children by, not natural descent! 

The Unity in which God speaks through Caiaphas: 

Jesus died in order to create people!

s, both within and outside the church, is antithetical to Christianity. 

ideology in any form is not Christianity.  

looks at people through the lens of oppressed and oppressor, and God creates for Himself one people!
