Plagues 2 – 5 – 8 Moses confronts Pharaoh at his

Plagues 3 – 6 – 9 The plague comes with no  

Plague 10 Stands on its own

These signs and wonders demonstrated God’s power over

Notice that the creative order was

Ma’at: The power of Pharaoh to maintain

The plages attacked the people’s faith in Pharaoh at its core

God is testing the basic about how order and balance were in the universe

Deism: God is like a cosmic who puts every detail together and then takes his hands off

The LORD is a God of order not

The temptation toward deism

When bad things happen there is a to believe that God had to do with it — it all falls outside of his purpose

Some say that God is powerless to act in some situations 

Others suggest that God could act but He values the of his creatures to such a degree that he sits idly by and watches

The example of Job: What seemed like an life was thrust into immediate

God alone is all-powerful and all-wise and he knows what we before we ask – and He gives us what we when we do not even ask

What about your life? Has it been thrust into and the foundation of your life rattled? 

God has a Purpose

We may never understand what God is doing (we may catch a glimpse of it but may not)

As we see God’s purposes unfold throughout — we can be confident that God’s purposes are unfolding in our lives as well!

Will you trust in God when the foundations of faith are shaken?

Satan isn’t all-powerful 

The devil is powerful and his power shouldn’t be dismissed

Satan cannot the plan and purpose of God
