The people’s focus was on the food that Jesus could give them but Jesus was offering spiritual food that could satisfy their

When our minds are so focused on the material — the physical — then we miss the greater .

Important point: Material things are not bad!

The problem isn’t with the — the problem is when we let the love for possessions get in the way of seeing God for who He is.

It isn’t our possessions that are wrong but our single-minded possession of our possessions.

How are we to seek God?

We find him in Jesus Christ

We find Jesus in the Scriptures 

Evangelism: Thee must be an intentional effort to make Christ known (and this doesn’t happen outside of the Scriptures)

The gospel is about Jesus — and we find Jesus in the scriptures.

What is the work of God that endures to eternal life?
