Revelation 19 Study Questions

Bible Study:

1. Revelation 19:1-5, Why did the heavenly multitude sing praises to God?

–What are some reasons that you have praised God recently?

2. Revelation 19 gives us the great picture of fellowship in heaven. We gather at the table of the Lord (like a wedding feast) and deeply enjoy fellowship with one another.

–Who are some people from the Bible, heroes of faith, you are looking forward to truly seeing again?

–Who are some loved ones you are anxious to eat with?

–Why do you think the Bible uses the picture of “eating” a meal together? Do you think that’s literal?

2. Revelation 19:8 describes the clothing of the Bride. What is the significance and symbolism of her dress?

(By the way, notice the Bride – the church – is still on earth at the Coming. She is preparing her wedding dress.)

3. Read Isaiah 25:6-9. How does that correspond to Revelation 19?

4. Revelation 19:11 gives Jesus some titles and describes what he does. What are the titles of Jesus, and what part of His coming is described in these verses?

5 What symbols are used in Revelation 19:12-13, 15-16. What do they mean?

–Why do you think Jesus has a name only He knows?

6. Revelation 19:14, Those following the King are described as a great army.

–In what ways are the people of God like an army?

–Why does the Bible us that image?

–Why is it significant that there are no weapons wielded by the army that follows Christ?

7. What does Revelation 19 as a whole teach us about Jesus?

8. There is a great warning in Revelation 19:10 not to worship angels.

–Does our culture engage in angel worship?  How?

–Why do you think this is forbidden?
