Revelation 7 Study Questions

1. What did you learn that you did not know before this study?

–What blew you away? Excited you?

2. Revelation 7:9 says that salvation “belongs” to God. What does that mean?

How does salvation belong to God?

3. Read Revelation 7:15-17.

–Make a short list of the promises in this short passage. (Take time with this.)

–What does it mean “the suns hall not strike them” ?

–Is it significant that the lamb is at the “center” of the throne? (7:17)

4. What did the plagues symbolize to the Egyptians in the Old Testament. How does this relate to the end times?

(Don’t put faith in the things of this world, or those things will destroy you. They put their faith in gods that could not help them.)

What kinds of things do we put faith in that cannot help us and in fact incur God’s wrath?

5. Do you see cycles or patterns in the way Israel behaved with God and the world today?

6. Why do you think the seals are put on the foreheads of the people?

7. At the Red Sea, Miriam and Moses lead the nation to sing. In heaven God’s people sing.

8. Heaven is a rowdy place. What are some valid ways others worship that are different than the way you worship?

9. Revelation 7:14 says they have “washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb.”  What do you think that means?

10. Revelation 7:15 says they serve day and night in his “temple.”  yet the Bible says heaven has no temple.  Heaven itself is the temple of God.  What are some ways that heaven is like a great temple?
