The Parable of the Lost Son
The Prodigal Son

The Parable of the 2 Lost Sons

Luke 15:1
Now the tax collectors and sinners were all gathering around to hear Jesus.

How did Jesus manage to continually draw incredibly flawed people?

Luke 15:2
But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.”We’ve all run from God and done something wrong.

“In all of Middle Eastern Literature (aside from this parable) from ancient times to present, there is no case of any son, older or young, asking for his inheritance from a father who is still in good health.
~Kenneth Bailey

I am the prodigal son every time I search for unconditional love where it cannot be found.
~Henri Nouwen

We run because we think God is restricting us.

We’ve all ended up in a place we never thought we’d be.

When you run, God won’t always stop you.

God won’t always shield you from the pain of your choices.

Why does it take so long for some of us to come home?

Shame

Kezzah

God doesn’t see you as broken. He sees you as loved.
