Freedom Series (Conclusion)

(Part 11)

Good morning and welcome to Jesus Church=

Message I’ve been excited about

• Today we will be concluding our series
  • 10 weeks in…
  • We’ve gone through so much
  • Always will be available on our Youtube channel

But this series is a start down road to freedom

Because freedom is a journey

• It’s a Journey of deliverance and discipleship
  • Can’t disciple a demon/can’t cast out the flesh
    • Delivered from demons
    • Disciple your flesh
• Like we’ve talked about… as we focus on Deliverance
  • Many people refuse to believe they need to be delivered
    • Think they can’t be in bondage
    • Because they are Christians
• And we’ve talked about: If you leave door open
  • Thief will come in
  • Doesn’t own your house, but is in it
• If you take drugs or drink too much
  • You’re now under the influence of that (Even Christians)
    • If you open yourself to pornography
    • Open yourself to a spirit of lust
    • Under the influence of that spirit
      • Needs to be cast out not in weird way
      • In the name of Jesus (with authority)

Then comes discipleship

• Training mind to think differently
  • Had a powerful class that’s been going on through the series
  • I know one really likes discipline
  • But we need it and the Bible commands it

Funny how popular talent shows still are

Americas got talent / American Idol…

• Probably most popular part isn’t actual show: It’s the auditions
  • Don’t know if they knew before hand – But its mind blowing
  • People will go on world wide TV… and be terrible
• And you gotta wonder if these people have any real friends
  • Someone that cares– They’re gonna be honest with you
  • Like people who tell you food on your face… those are friends
• Amazing how someone can have no clue the help they need.

1. At some point we have to recognize we need help

Prodigal Son (Summarize)

• Luke 15:17 – But when he came to himself (realized he needed help)
  • Many believers are living in the pig pin
  • Eating spiritual scraps… just like the son Jesus talks about
    • You’re living in the pig pin… you absolutely don’t have to
    • But you do it because it’s become normal for you
• Only people who can’t get free
  • Those who won’t admit they have a problem
  • Convinced pig pin is the Hilton
• And until you see it… until you admit it – God can help you
  • Because until then you are saying “I don’t need you”
  • But we all need help… and that’s what series has been about

2. Once you realize… Repent to God and others

Luke 15:18 – I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you’

And have to understand difference between confession & repentance

• Repentance includes confession
  • He confessed his sin
  • But confession doesn’t always include repentance
• Repentance (2) words
  • Gk. Meta Noya
    • Meta – Change (Metamorphis)
    • Noya – Mind
• Repentance: Change your mind (about sin)
  • ALSO Change your mind about yourself
    • About how you see yourself
    • About who God created you to be
    • Understanding your sin isn’t your identity
  • ALSO Change your mind about God
    • God isn’t waiting for you to mess up
    • Watching to bop you on the head

Rom. 12 – Renew your mind… or change your mind (Life of repentance)

• (Listen) You are forgiven once
  • 1 Pt. 3:18 – For Christ also suffered (how many times) once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit.
  • Heb. 9:28 – so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.
• Jesus doesn’t have to be crucified every time you sin
  • Sin was defeated on the cross
    • SO you live a life IN forgiveness
    • You live a life OF repentance

Problem: Bad teaching on Grace: Once saved… never repent again

• That’s simple not biblical – If that’s was true…
  • Why did Jesus tell 5 of 7 churches in Revelation to “Repent”
  • We are continually living a life of repentance
• Did you know that God repented in OT (changed his mind)
  • No translator will use transcribe “God repented”
  • They thought well God can’t turn from his sin
  • Changed Repented => Relented

But it doesn’t stop there: Repent to God AND before others

• He went to his father, not just to God to repent
  • Wanna show you scripture says we need to be right with others

Matt. 5:23
Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar and there you remember that your brother has something against you. Leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way, First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.

• Jesus saying: Get right with God… AND get right with your brother

James 5:16

Confess your trespasses (sins) to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed.

Healed – be freed of error and sins

• Confess sins to one another that you may be free
  • Think of area of bondage in life
  • How many times have you confessed it to God
  • Said I will never do it again but you do
• Repentance means
  • Confess and repent not only to God
  • Confess and repent before others
  • Prodigal went to his father
    • I’ve sinned against God and (not against) before you
      • Accountability Partner
      • A Spiritual authority
      • Husband or Wife
      • Godly Friend
• BRING IT IN THE LIGHT… because Satan works in the darkness
  • And we will fall and confess it to God
  • Keep it in the dark (Fear of man)
    • If you want to be free – Bring it to light
    • And put as much light on it as possible

3. Renounce the lies of Satan

This is 100% truth… EVERY BONDAGE begins with a lie

Luke 15:25-29

“Now his older son was in the field. And as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing. So he called one of the servants and asked what these things meant. And he said to him, Your brother has come, and because he has received him safe and sound, your father has killed that fatted calf. But he (brother) was angry and would not go in. therefore his father came out and pleaded with him. So he answered and said to his father, Lo these many years I have been serving you; (watch the absolutes he uses, always and never) I never transgressed your commandment at any time; and yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might make merry with my friends.

2 Lies

• Frist: Never transgressed your commandments
  • That would be a lie because he isn’t Jesus
    • Anyone have children
    • Anyone have a perfect child
      • Children transgress
  • Saying I’ve never disobeyed you
    • Never done one thing wrong
    • And He believes his own lie
• Second: You never even gave me a goat
  • (Proof) Luke 15:12 – And the younger of them said to his father, Father give me the portion of goods that falls to me. So he divided to them his livelihood.
    • First born according to laws got twice as much
      • Younger son got 1/3
      • Older son got 2/3
        • Says you never gave me 1 goat
  • Luke 15:31 – And he said to him, Son you are always with me, and all that I have is yours.
    • Grammatically odd: Starts in 2nd person, ends in 1st
      • You are always with me (you: subject)
      • All that I have is yours (I: subject)
        • Should start with “I am always with you…
        • AND all that I have is yours”
    • But here is what that means: As long as you are with him
      • All that He has is yours
      • As you trust in Him… not yourself
      • Money, relationships, future

Here’s the tragedy: Older son never left home: still was in bondage

• What was his bondage?
  • Bitterness
  • Unforgiveness
  • Resentment
  • Jealousy
  • Envy
• We hear the prodigal story – We think it’s a good story for others
  • But there are 2 Sons in this story
  • Many of us tend to be the older son (we think the good son)
    • To think I’ve never left home
    • I’ve never transgressed the father
• But look at the mind of the older son – Why does he get this stuff
  • And bondage just comes flooding in
  • Older son just as in bondage as older son
  • All because he believed a lie…

And this bondage is all over our society

• We believe lies about our lives all the time…
  • How many at some point thought your sibling was favorite
  • It’s a lie that causes jealousy and division
• Here are a few more lies that people believe
  • I was the oldest: Had to have control
  • I was the youngest: Had to have my way
  • I was the middle: Always feel neglected
  • I was the only child… so…
  • I was part of a big family… so…
• But none of those are who you are… all of those are a lie
  • Because you are now a child of God
    • Born again by the power of God
    • Kept by the Word of God
    • More than a conqueror in Him
    • Seated in heavenly places
    • With authority of all powers of the enemy
    • Greater is he in you than who is in the world
• This is who you are, not some product of your past
  • But you have to believe it
  • STOP believe the lie

4. Receive the gifts of the Father

Allowed himself to be seen again as a son – Through 3 things

• Didn’t think he was good enough to identify

Luke 15:22

But the father said to his servants, bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet.

• 1. Robe – of righteousness

Is. 61:10

He has covered me with the robe of righteousness

• If you are going to get free… you have to receive forgiveness.
  • Identify with the righteousness of God
  • Believe this comes from righteousness of God
    • Not from your own works
• 2. Ring – of authority
  • • • Pharaoh put Joseph in command – gave his ring
      • Jesus gave us authority

Luke 10:19

Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions (demonic spirits), and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

• 3. Shoes – of power

• • Power isn’t something – It’s someone

Acts 1:8

You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be my witnesses to Me.

Going to pray a prayer of deliverance

• This prayer is contingent on repentance
  • Those demons have legal right until you make a choice
    • Repent to God
    • Confess to others
    • Renounce the lie… live in the light
• God wants to set you free
  • You have the opportunity to be free
• Worship team is gonna sing a song
  • Want you to ask God to show you three things
    • Those you need to ask to forgive you
    • Things You need to repent from to God (years)
    • Things You need to confess to someone

I’ll pray a prayer to take authority over those strongholds of the enemy

• When you ask for forgiveness
  • Repent to God
  • Repent before others (confess)
• You will be freed of the enemy
  • So some of this is homework
  • Do it when you get home
    • Call those you need forgiveness from
    • Call those you need to confess in front of

Everyone stand (Like to pray freedom over everyone)

Father

I ask you to forgive me

For all of my sin

And I ask you to release me

From every bondage in Jesus name

[Pray]

Lord, right now by authority that you’ve given me

I take authority over Satan

I address every demonic spirit that kept

My brothers and sisters in Bondage in Jesus name

And I command you to go in Jesus Name

And it is not the authority of my voice

It is the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ

My brothers and sisters are covered by the blood of Jesus

They overcome by the word of their testimony

They are born again not of corruptible seed but incorruptible seed

His name is by the Word of God

And by the blood of the lamb

You are set free today

I take authority over every spirit of:

Bitterness, unforgiveness, resentment, hate, malice, envy, jealousy, fear must go in Jesus name

I take authority over: Insecurity, inferiority, rejection, self hate, self pity, self destruction, anger, rage, violence, lawlessness must leave in Jesus name

Any spirit of: Sexual immorality, sexual impurity, adultery, lust, fornication, perversion, pornography any sort of sexual impurity I command you to go in Jesus name

Any spirit of: Pride, manipulation, control, rebellion I control you to go in Jesus name.

All spirits of: Criticism, judgment, prejudice or racism I command you to go in Jesus name

Any spirit of: Greed, materialism, selfishness, covetousness, selfish admission must go in Jesus name

I take authority over: Depression, anxiety, worry, suicide I command you to go

Adiction, alchoholism, drunkenness, drugs, gluttony I command you to go

Every spirit of: Legalism, religious pride, heresy, false doctrine I take authority over in Jesus name

Every spirit of: Stealing, slothfulness, laziness, unbelief, rebellion to authority

Every spirit of: Guilt, shame, embarrassment, humiliation

Every spirit of: Sickness, disease, infirmities, chronic health issues I say go in Jesus name

Any spirit of:

Witchcraft, occult, blasphemy. I break any word curse or spell spoken over our family in Jesus name. Any generational curse must go in Jesus name

Every demonic spirit that has held us captive by the sound of my voice I command you to go in Jesus name.

Look at me: This is what the enemy does when you take authority over him

  • Because they have to go in Jesus name
• Here’s what they do
  • I’m not leaving
  • It’s not going to work
  • I’m still hear
    • They are gone in Jesus name
    • Not my authority, Authority of Jesus Christ
• Every area enemy been kicked out in Jesus Name
  • Lift your hands and say this
    • Lord I receive the Holy Spirit and will you fill me with the holy spirit. Every area where the evil spirits have left, will you fill me with the Holy Spirit.

Fill everyone here now with Holy Spirit. Top of heads to bottom of feet. We receive you in Jesus Name. AMEN!!!!
