Who Am I?
Created by God – Ecclesiastes 7:29

Introduction
Who am I? It’s one of life’s biggest questions—and the answer begins with God. You were created intentionally, designed with divine purpose, and made in the image of your Creator. Though sin has broken and distorted God’s perfect creation, it has not erased your worth or changed His purpose for your life. Humanity is uniquely set apart from the rest of creation, possessing an eternal soul and carrying immeasurable value. In this series, we’ll discover what Scripture teaches about our identity, why every human life matters, and how understanding who God created us to be changes the way we see ourselves—and everyone around us.

Created by God
Ecclesiastes 7:29
1. We were not created by .
Then the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man’s nostrils, and the man became a living person. Genesis 2:7
For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God. Romans 1:20
Notes:
2. We were not created with .
For God is not a God of disorder but of peace, as in all the meetings of God’s holy people. 1 Corinthians 14:33
Because the Sovereign Lord helps me, I will not be disgraced. Therefore, I have set my face like a stone, determined to do his will. And I know that I will not be put to shame. Isaiah 50:7
Notes:
3. We were not created to .
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. Ephesians 2:10
Notes:
4. We were created for .
“’Bring all who claim me as their God, for I have made them for my glory. It was I who created them.’” Isaiah 43:7
“His purpose was for the nations to seek after God and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him—though he is not far from any one of us.” Acts 17:27
6 So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth. 7 But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin. 1 John 1:6-7

Challenge:
How does knowing you were created by design change the way you will live your life moving forward?
It’s your sins that have cut you off from God. Isaiah 59:2a
For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard Romans 3:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23
If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9
Growth Challenge:
Before you start each day this week, pause and remember that you were created by God.
