Making A Difference Part 2

“You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless. Matthew 5:13 NLT

• Disciples are called to be a disinfectant in a world where moral standards are , constantly changing, or non-existent.

• Salt also is a agent.
• Salt also creates a .
• Salt adds .
• Salt is beneficial – “”.

Reality: Secular has taken a tragic toll on the servant of God’s distinctiveness.

Many Jesus followers have surrendered their to the world system.

Could it be we as Christians have stopped thinking and stopped shaking ?

We must do a work of preservation or – we our influence.

Some Things To Consider:

1^st Salt is and – not poured.

2^nd Salt adds , but it is obscure.

3^rd Salt is unlike any other – it cannot be duplicated.

The Light Of The World

“You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.  No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house.  In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. Matthew 5:14-16 NLT

Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.” John 8:12

Notice – Jesus called what He called Himself.

Light is to dispel . But How?

1^st By not the light – “set on a hill”.

2^nd By not the light – “on the lampstand”.

How Can We Fulfill Our Role?
