James 4: 1-10

Submit therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come close to God and He will come close to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
James 4:7-8

There Is A !

“Submit to God”

“Submit” literally means to “ up ”.

Our life becomes characterized by:  “Not my will, but Yours, be done.” (Luke 22:42)

There Is A !

“resist the devil”

The word “resist” means “to ”.

Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist on the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Stand firm therefore, having belted your waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
Ephesians 6:13-14

Consider the promise: “Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”

“He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”  1 John 4:4b

There Is A !

“Come close to God and He will come close to you”.

But now you have been united with Christ Jesus. Once you were far away from God, but now you have been brought near to him through the blood of Christ.
Ephesians 2:13 NLT

Did you notice verse 10?

Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you.
James 4:10

To ourselves before God is to admit we are spiritually apart from Christ, and, that we are on Him.
