Jehovah Shammah (The Lord Is There)

(Isaiah 9:6 NIV) For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

(Matthew 1:18-21 NIV) This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit. Because Joseph her husband was faithful to the law, and yet did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly. But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name (Yeshua) Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”

The Lord is Salvation

(Philippians 2:6-8 NIV) Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross!

1. You have in the name of Jesus.

(John 14:13–14 NIV) And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.

(Hebrews 10:19-20 LB) And so, dear brothers, now we may walk right into the very Holy of Holies, where God is…This is the fresh, new, life-giving way that Christ has opened up for us…to let us into the holy presence of God.

2. You can be in the name of Jesus.

(Acts 3:16 NIV) By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus’ name and the faith that comes through him that has completely healed him, as you can all see.

3. You have , in the name of Jesus.

(Luke 10:17 NIV) The seventy-two returned with joy and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in yourname.”

4. You have in the name of Jesus.

(Acts 10:43 NIV) All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.

5. You have in the name of Jesus.

(Acts 4:11–12 NIV) Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.

6. You have in the name of Jesus.

(Matthew 1:22-23 ESV) All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet: “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name

Immanuel

(which means, God with us)

7. The name is Jesus.

(Philippians 2:9-11 NIV) Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
