By Faith: Ordinary People. Extraordinary Possibilities | Part 4: Faith That Says Yes

July 19, 2026

Hebrews 11:32-33 (NLT)

It would take too long to recount the stories of the faith of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, and all the prophets. By faith these people … received what God had promised.

FAITH ANSWERS — GOD’S

Judges 4:6 (MSG)

Deborah sent for Barak … and said to him, “It has become clear that the LORD, the God of Israel, commands you: Go to Mount Tabor and prepare for battle …”

Faith’s job isn’t to — create God’s mission.

God already has one!

Faith’s job is to — hear God’s mission…

and respond to it!

FAITH DOESN’T BEGIN WITH — HAVING EVERY ANSWER

FAITH BEGINS WITH — GIVING GOD OUR ANSWER

FAITH ACCEPTS — GOD’S

Faith isn’t measured by —

the prominence of our assignment!

Faith is measured by —

the faithfulness with which we accept and fulfill it!

It’s amazing how much can be accomplished …

when we don’t care who gets the credit!

FAITH ADVANCES — WITH

Judges 4:14 (MSG)

“Charge! This very day GOD has given you (past tense) victory over Sisera. Isn’t God marching before you?”

Judges 4:7 (MSG)

“I’ll take care of getting Sisera, the leader of Jabin’s army, to the Kishon River … with all his chariots (tanks) and troops. And I’ll make sure you win the battle.”

FAITH DOESN’T REMOVE — OUR NEED TO MOVE

FAITH GIVES US — A REASON TO MOVE

WHEN WE DO — WHAT GOD HAS CALLED US TO DO —

GOD DOES WHAT — ONLY GOD CAN DO!

When God commanded — Barak answered! — Do we?

When God assigned – Barak accepted! — Do we?

When God said “Charge!” – Barak advanced with God-confidence!

Do we?

BARAK HAD A FAITH THAT SAID — YES!

DO WE?
