Wednesday Service | PLANTED FOR MORE | Enrique Dominguez
April 29, 2026The benefits of growing a plant in a pot are flexibility, mobility, control over soil quality, easy maintenance, reduced risk of weeds, diseases and pests.
The downsides are: greater watering needs, fertilizer needs, poor drainage =root rot, etc…
QUESTION: Is my life limited by a pot? We could be people…who are alive…but not growing …because we are living inside limitations we were never meant to stay in.
POINT 1: THE POT REPRESENTS LIMITATIONS WE
And if we looked beneath the surface—we would discover:
- The roots are still alive…The life is still there…But it’s being by the pot.
- A pot of past
- A pot of
- A pot of
- A pot of
- A pot of
- A pot of living beneath our
JOHN 10:10
Jesus said: “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”
In the Greek language— New Testament—there are three key words translated as “life.”
- Psychē (ψυχή) — Soul-life / inner life –
- Bios (βίος) — Physical, natural life –
- Zoē (ζωή) — Divine, eternal life.
POINT 2: ROOT-BOUND THINKING KEEPS US
ROMANS 12:2
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…”
Many times we’re stuck because our thinking is .
POINT 3: A ZOE LIFE THE POT
John 10:10
“I have come that they may have life (zoe), and that they may have it more abundantly.”
a. A ZOĒ LIFE — THE LIFE THAT CANNOT BE
KEY TRUTH “If the life of God is in you…then what’s in you is bigger than what contains you.”
b. THE PROBLEM: WE’VE PUT OUR ZOĒ LIFE IN A SMALL
WHAT IS THE POT? the pot represents:
- Small
- Past
- zones
- environments
- It could be anything that the limits of your growth
c. A ZOĒ LIFE CREATES PRESSURE AGAINST
KEY POINT: “That frustration you feel… may not be a problem—it may be the zoe life pushing against your limitations.”… this LIFE was never meant to be contained.
d. A ZOĒ LIFE DOESN’T ADAPT TO THE POT — IT IT
SPIRITUAL APPLICATION: God will allow moments where: Your comfort is disrupted and your world has been shaken, even your thinking is being challenged.
- Its purpose is not to harm you…But to break the pot.
- EVEN CAN’T STOP ZOĒ LIFE
HOW DO WE LIVE THE ZOĒ LIFE?
1. Stay to Christ. John 15:5 “I am the vine” ZOE flows through our connection with the source of LIFE.
2. Embrace the . Growth always feels uncomfortable. Remember this…God is in it… John 15:1–8 | “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener…”*
3. Step beyond your zone. “You cannot grow where you refuse to go”
Philippians 3:14
I strain to reach the end of the race and receive the prize for which God is calling us up to heaven because of what Christ Jesus did for us.
FINAL DECLARATION: “The life of God in you is too big for the limitations around you. And if you let it…a zoē life will break every pot that tries to contain it.” And will find that it can even grow in a rock.
