Centered | Part 2: Staying Centered

February 22, 2026

When Jesus is at the center —

everything else finds its place.

Colossians 2:8 (NIV)

See to it that no one takes you captive

CENTERING STRATEGY #1:

Your Center

Galatians 5:1 (MSG)

Christ has set us free to live a free life. So take your stand! Never again let anyone put a harness of slavery on you.

1 Corinthians 3:9 (NLT)

You are God’s building.

Colossians 1:27 (NIV)

Christ in you, the hope of glory.

CENTERING STRATEGY #2 –

Don’t Settle for Hollow

Colossians 2:8 (NIV)

See to it that no one takes you captive … through hollow and deceptive philosophy

Colossians 2:9,10 (NIV)

For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and in Christ you have been brought to fullness.

Colossians 2:9 (MSG)

Everything of God gets expressed in Christ … You don’t need a telescope, a microscope, or a horoscope to realize the fullness of Christ — and the emptiness of the universe without him.

CENTERING STRATEGY #3:

Center on What Has

Biblical fullness isn’t primarily a feeling —

it’s a foundation

Colossians 1:27 (NIV)

Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Honest Question #1: Is there anything knocking at my heart’s door that I’ve been entertaining instead of sending to the Owner?

Honest Question #2: Is there something I’ve been chasing that looks fulfilling … but keeps leaving me empty?

Honest Question #3: When pressure hits — what am I leaning on? What has weight in my life right now?
