A Happier New Year: Getting There — From Here | Part 3: Progress, Not Perfection

Process Reality #1:

Don’t Judge the Process Too Early

—

Philippians 3:12 (NIV)

Not that I have already obtained all this,

or have already arrived at my goal …

Trust the process.
Trust the Lord of the process.

Process Reality #2:

Progress Is Made by Repeated Faithfulness,

Not Perfect Performance —

Trying and learning
beats waiting and worrying — every time.

Philippians 3:12 (TLB)
I don’t mean to say I am perfect. I haven’t learned all I should even yet, but I keep working toward that day when I will finally be all that Christ saved me for and wants me to be.

Progress isn’t built by perfection —

it’s built by repetition.

Process Reality #3

Resistance Doesn’t Mean the Process Is Broken

—

Resistance isn’t God blocking the way —

it’s God building strength for what’s ahead.

Process Reality #4

Perseverance Is How Progress

Reaches Completion —

2 Peter 1:5,6 (NIV)

Make every effort to add to your faith

. . . perseverance.

Progress — not perfection —

is how a Happier New Year and future

is made and experienced!

1: Trust — Don’t judge the process too early

2: Practice — Repeated faithfulness beats perfection

3: Stay — Resistance doesn’t mean the process is broken

4: Finish — Perseverance brings completion
