Christmas Is … God Showing Up!

Luke 1:26-35 (NLT)

God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a village in Galilee, to a virgin named Mary. She was engaged to be married to a man named Joseph … “Greetings, favored woman! The Lord is with you!”

Confused and disturbed, Mary tried to think what the angel could mean.

“Don’t be afraid, Mary,” the angel told her, “for you have found favor with God! You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus.”

Mary asked the angel, “But how can this happen? I am a virgin.”

The angel replied, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the baby to be born will be holy, and he will be called the Son of God.”

God doesn’t wait for perfect places

or perfect people before showing up!

Our Part:

Stop trying to clean ourselves up,
Start trusting God to do what we can’t!

Christmas Is … God Stepping In!

Isaiah 53:4,5 (MSG)

It was our pains He carried … our disfigurements … all the things wrong with us. He took the punishment, and that made us whole. Through His wounds, we are healed.

Because Jesus stepped into everything …

He’s able to pull us out of anything!

Our Part:

Don’t settle for living stuck,
Invite Jesus to step in and lead us forward!

Christmas Is … God Reaching Out!

Luke 2:11–14 (NLT)

“The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord— has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David! You will recognize Him by this sign: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

Suddenly, the angel was joined by a vast host of heaven, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom his favor/grace rests.”

Receive the gift of grace,
Say “yes” to God’s reaching love!
