• Warfare – refers to the ways in which war is engaged.
• The root word, WAR, refers to armed conflict between 2 parties
• The suffix, -FARE, speaks of movement/travel, or a fee for which something costs

 

2 Corinthians 10:3-5 (KJV)

³ For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

⁴ (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

⁵ Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

 

• WEAPON – Something used to injure, defeat, or destroy

 

You are not just collateral damage… you are THE TARGET.

 

• You are going about it the wrong way –
• You’ve taken matters in to your own hands
• You’ve tried to fix the problems of others
• You been seeing yourself as inferior to what has been opposing you
• You’ve settled for the scraps
• You’ve quit on yourself
• You’ve lost your passion for the things of God

 

These things have been used by you, against you; killing you

 

Ephesians 6:10-18 (KJV)

¹⁰ Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

¹¹ Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

¹² For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

¹³ Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

• It’s NOT Personal… It’s Spiritual

 

• Take the face off of the person

 

Identify our adversary… He conceals his identity in people, hardships, illnesses, attachments, and good things that were intended to trip and trap us.

⁸ Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

 

• “SPIRIT FIGHT” vs “FLESH FIGHT”

 

WEAPONS

1) HUMILITY/REPENTANCE/RESISTANCE

⁶ But He gives more grace. Therefore He says:

“God resists the proud,
But gives grace to the humble.”

⁷ Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. ⁸ Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. 

 

2) CONFIDENCE/IDENTITY

¹⁹ Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

3) STRATEGY/PLAN

 

John 10:10 (KJV)

¹⁰ The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

 

Identify his movements and queues – track them with your thoughts/actions and triggers; then throw him off your scent… go a different way – Move 2 steps in front of him

 

Ex: if you know you fall into a spirit of depression when money gets low… reframe your budget, call forth divine wisdom and strategy to steward, declare increase in finances and also rebuke depression (explicitly) Bind it and loose peace and agility in Christ

 

4) COMMUNITY/CONNECTION

 

Matthew 18:18-20 (KJV)

¹⁸ Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

¹⁹ Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

5) PRAISE/WORSHIP

²⁵ Around midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening. ²⁶ Suddenly, there was a massive earthquake, and the prison was shaken to its foundations. All the doors immediately flew open, and the chains of every prisoner fell off!

 

• Use your words/actions as outward manifestations of warning shots to the enemy that back him off of you
• Elevate your encounters with the presence of God / give 2^nd mile service to God

 

Gain language that articulates and expresses your awareness of the authority you have in Jesus:

 

• I rebuke (express sharp disapproval of behavior/actions) ____ in Jesus name

 

• By the authority of Jesus blood, I curse sickness – die by Fire (Holy Ghost) curse your roots… never to return.

 

• I’m not engaging with you, Satan. But rather, I serve you notice, that the name of Jesus is a banner of protection hovering over me…

 

• I bind all depression, suppression, and oppression in the name of Jesus

 

• I loose peace, love and joy in Jesus name

 

• Fear! Go NOW, in Jesus Name
