Wednesday Service | Strength For the Journey

November 15, 2023

1 Peter 5:6-10 NIV

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

10 And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.

Strength: the capacity of an object or substance to withstand great force or pressure.

Journey: an act of traveling from one place to another

I’m Going Somewhere!

It’s going to take strength to get there

Deuteronomy 20:4

4 For the Lord your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.”

Psalm 3:8

8 From the LORD comes deliverance. May your blessing be on your people.

Mark 4:35-40 NIV

35 That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, “Let us go over to the other side.” 36 Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat. There were also other boats with him. 37 A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. 38 Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”

39 He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.

40 He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?”

WHEN JESUS SAYS “LET US GO OVER TO THE OTHER SIDE,” HE MEANS IT!

God Said “IT’S TIME TO ENROLL IN BOOTCAMP” “ALL IN” “GOING FOR BROKE”
