Proverbs 18:21 (AB)

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it and indulge it will eat its fruit and bear the consequences of their words.

 

[2] The words of the wise are and life

 

Proverbs 10:21 (AB)

The lips of the righteous feed and guide many, but fools [who reject God and His wisdom] die for lack of understanding.

 

[3] The words of fools and evil people bring and

 

Proverbs 16:28

A perverse man spreads strife, and one who gossips separates intimate friends.

 

Proverbs 11:13 (NLT)

A gossip goes around telling secrets, but those who are trustworthy can keep a confidence.

The [malevolent] words of the wicked lie in wait for [innocent] blood [to slander],
 but the mouth of the upright will rescue and protect them.

Those who do evil are trapped by their sinful talk. But those who have done no wrong escape trouble.

26 If anyone thinks himself to be religious [scrupulously observant of the rituals of his faith], and does not control his tongue but deludes his own heart, this person’s religion is worthless (futile, barren).

 and how good and delightful is a word spoken at the right moment—how good it is!

 

Proverbs 16:1

The plans and reflections of the heart belong to man, but the [wise] answer of the tongue is from the Lord.

There is one who speaks rashly like the thrusts of a sword,
 but the tongue of the wise brings healing.

Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, sweet and delightful to the soul and healing to the body.

 

[8] With our words we can be

 

Proverbs 31:8-9 (NLT)

Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those being crushed.
Yes, speak up for the poor and helpless, and see that they get justice.

 

[9] If we want to speak new words we need a

 

Luke 6:44-46 (AMP)

44 For each tree is known and identified by its own fruit. For figs are not picked from thorn bushes, nor is a cluster of grapes picked from a briar bush. 45 The [intrinsically] good man produces what is good and honorable and moral out of the good treasure [stored] in his heart; and the [intrinsically] evil man produces what is wicked and depraved out of the evil [in his heart]; for his mouth speaks from the overflow of his heart.

 

Ezekiel 18:31 (AMP)
